Sunday mornings can be tiring for preschoolers, many of whom arrive at 9AM and stay until after noon (that’s a good thing!). For this reason, we plan a totally different experience at the 11AM hour to give them opportunities to move and play in active ways. Don’t get the idea that learning takes a back seat in this hour, because it doesn’t! In fact, research tells us that effective early childhood education involves movement and multi-sensory involvement. Children in classes for 3's through Pre-K move through a series of rotations involving recreation (playground time when the weather allows), Preschool Praise (active praise through music experiences) and Bible Story (a master storyteller leads the students in a Bible story experience.) Two year olds experience their own Preschool Praise rotation, along with time for play on the toddlers’ very own playground, designed specifically for these young learners. Bible stories are provided by their own teachers in their classrooms.
