Kindergarten children (those attending kindergarten at public, private, or home school) are expected to attend worship services with their parents. Since our church offers worship services at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 AM, kindergarteners can attend any of these services, then go to a Sunday School class at 9:30 or 11:00. Kindergarteners need to notify us of the Sunday School class they want to attend, and they will be enrolled in a class at that hour. Due to room size and the need to have a sufficient number of adult teachers, kindergarteners should only attend the Sunday School class in which they are enrolled (switching week to week can create overly large class sizes, thus cannot be allowed.)
Each year in the two weeks leading up to Promotion Sunday (usually late August), Pre-K classes go through a series of preparatory classes culminating in a “Welcome to Worship” party. There they receive special bags with materials designed to help them enjoy “big church” and learn to be worshippers of the Lord.
