Teach the older women to…teach what is good.
Encourage the younger women to love their husbands and children.
Titus 2:3-4
The Mission
The mission of Mom to Mom is to equip and encourage women in one of the most rewarding seasons of life: parenting! Through practical, Biblically based teaching on parenting and through supportive interaction in small groups led by “experienced” mothers. (We call them Titus 2:4 Women). We wish to foster growth not only in our parenting skills but in our wholeness as women intellectually, relationally, and spiritually.
We Are…
Women of diverse backgrounds from many different communities in Northeast Tarrant County who have children of all ages. Although we are in various stages of parenting, we share a common desire to grow as women and mothers.
When and Where?
Thursday September 15, 2011 to May 10, 2012
Thursday mornings 9:30 - 11:30
What About the Children?
Preschoolers will have a special program of their own guided by a Storyteller/Teacher and a team of childcare workers.
Home-Schooling Children will have a “study hall” available with a monitor and some play time too!
A Typical “Mom to Mom” Morning
We gather as a large group and either watch a DVD teaching by Linda Anderson, founder of M2M, or a “live” mom shares her mothering journey with us. Several times during the year we will have special workshops and otherwise deviate from the expected…for the unexpected!
The morning’s teaching is followed by a coffee break, after which we separate into small groups led by an experienced mom to discuss the topic of the morning and apply it to our own lives and families. The small groups provide a safe place to share the joys and challenges of motherhood and to explore the promises God gives us as parents.
