During this unprecedented time, we are diligently praying for you all, following a plan to keep our families safe, and rejoicing in our hope in Jesus Christ.

Office Schedule Update

January 18, 2021

Dear FBC Keller Family,

We had a wonderful time worshipping our Lord together on Sunday morning. Our youth completed their Disciple Now weekend. Several families completed the new member orientation. We heard a great report from our Finance Committee concerning the Lord’s gracious financial provision in 2020, and we affirmed the proposal to lease a portion of our educational space to Harvest Christian Academy. It was quite a day. The Lord continues to bless us through a difficult time.

I am writing to inform you that, over the weekend, three of our staff members tested positive for COVID-19 (two in the KIDS weekday program and one of our support staff). This does not include another support staff member who tested positive last week. To prevent further exposure to our members and staff, we plan to close the church campus on weekdays for two weeks beginning Monday morning, January 18. The pastors and ministers will be working from their homes during this time and will be available to serve the congregation via telephone, email, and Zoom technologies. Our priority and prayer is to continue to make Sunday School and corporate worship available in person. Please join the staff in praying for the health of those who have tested positive, and that God will halt the spread of the virus throughout our nation. If you have needs or questions, please call me directly at 817-422-2961.

Blessings,
Bro. Keith

Update on Plans to Resume Church Wednesday Night Activities

January 4, 2021

Several months ago, we set a target date of January 13 to resume our regular Wednesday night activities which have not met since March of 2020. The plan all along has been to evaluate the community health situation in early January to see if that start date is viable. Based on the numbers that we are seeing with the COVID-19 spread, we have decided to postpone the start of our Wednesday evening activities until the virus numbers go down in our community. We don’t have a specific restart date to announce at this point.

Our main concern is to keep our people safe when they come to church, so this delay is consistent with our church’s other decisions throughout this pandemic. The ministries that are being delayed are:

We are praying for the day when we can resume our full schedule of worship and discipleship on Wednesday evenings. Until then, our regular church prayer meeting is being held every Wednesday via ZOOM. If you would like to join that meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, please contact Lawrence Duhon (lduhon@fbckeller.org) for further instructions. We appreciate your flexibility as we continue to navigate this difficult period with the full assurance that God is in control and working out all things for His glory and our good!
