Set-up / Maintenance Evening Shift Lead
Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Hours: 8-hr. shifts
General Requirements:
- Self-motivated team member to work with the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Team as a shift lead to manage rooms throughout the facility
- Move tables, chairs, and other items within rooms, to closets, and other rooms.
- Assigned specific rooms for set-up and tear down within a 120,000 sq. ft. facility
- Lead other team members to set up special events throughout the facility.
- Help clean up after special events.
- Move furniture or equipment within building as directed by the Facility Manager.
- During certain shifts, this position may be the only staff member on campus and therefore will be responsible for opening the building, interior doors, and answering calls to assist members with special requests as needed such as moving tables and chairs, handling minor maintenance requests, etc.
- Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
- Carry a church-provided house cell phone during the employee’s shift when the employee is the only person on duty.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair
- Replace ceiling tiles, 4-foot fluorescent bulbs, assist in minor repairs, and replace HVAC return air filters.
Cleaning
- Light vacuuming in support of custodians, empty wastepaper baskets, and trash cans as needed.
- Keep buildings and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas, neat and clean.
- Respond to emergency spills and messes while on duty, providing cleaning supplies, helping clean, and generally protecting the integrity of the building.
- During slow periods of the year, this position will assist in deep cleaning carpets and floors as well as other annual projects.
Requirements
- Valid Driver License
- Ability to pass a background check with no felony convictions
- Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning supplies

Schedule:
- Candidate should be prepared to work four evening shifts and Saturdays.
- Evening shifts are from 1:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- Saturdays are from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m .with the occasional need to work a later 8-hour shift.
